Small to medium-sized Territory businesses can now apply for the Cyber Invest Business Program.
A cyber incident can be costly and result in business disruption and financial loss to Territory small and medium businesses.
In 2024 the average cost of a single cyber incident for an Australian small business was $50,000.
To assist Territory small to medium businesses to get cyber ready, the NT Government has introduced a new Cyber Invest Business Program (Cyber Invest).
Cyber Invest provides a grant of up to $10,000 (50/50 co-contribution) to uplift cybersecurity and resilience using local ICT and cybersecurity service providers.
Eligible services include:
- implement Essential Eight and other cybersecurity controls
- cyber assurance
- transition to managed security and ICT services
- development and testing of a cyber security incident plan.
