Territorians are encouraged to support local businesses through a new campaign highlighting the importance of choosing local goods and services.
Thousands of businesses across the Northern Territory rely on community support and local spending. Many of these businesses are family‑owned and locally operated.
Small and medium businesses make up 99% of all Territory enterprises. They are the backbone of our economy:
- supporting local jobs
- strengthening communities
- keeping regions connected.
The Back a Territorian campaign encourages Territorians to make a conscious choice to shop, eat, hire and explore locally wherever possible.
The campaign is supported by the Territory Procurement Champion, who is engaging with local businesses across the regions to share local business stories and promote the buy local message.
