Anne is the Small Business Champion for the Top End region.
About Anne
At a young age, Anne arrived in the Territory with her family on the old Ghan to Alice Springs, then by car to Darwin, one year after Cyclone Tracey.
Anne supported her mother’s businesses in Darwin, in a management role for her motel, restaurant, take aways, coffee shop and 2 health food stores.
Anne owned a bookkeeping business with an array of industry sectors before moving to the Tiwi Islands to support the operations of an Aboriginal association.
Anne joined the Department of Business in 2004 and enjoy very much supporting new businesses to start up and existing businesses to grow.
Qualifications
Anne has qualifications in Financial Services Accounting and Community Engagement as well as running her own small business.
Industry experience
Anne has 18 years’ experience working in economic development, in particular supporting Aboriginal businesses in a remote context across the Territory.
