Building Northern Territory industry participation policy

The Territory benefit policy will replace the Building Northern Territory (NT) industry participation policy (BNTIP) as the policy guiding local benefit planning for new NT based private sector projects.

The NT Government procurement framework is being revised to include guidance on local content plans (currently outlined in the BNTIP) for government procurement.

Read the Territory benefit policy.

The BNTIP will continue to apply to government procurements in excess of $5 million for a transition period until the procurement framework is changed.

Please contact Procurement Policy on 08 8999 4659 for any assistance over this period.

The BNTIP gives NT businesses opportunities to participate in the growth of the Territory and enhance business and industry capability.

The policy outlines industry participation plan requirements. You need an industry participation plan for:

  • NT Government tenders worth $5 million or more
  • private sector projects assisted by the NT Government worth $5 million or more.
