Win $2,000 for your business to kick start 2017

What the Territory has to offer Defence, and it’s prime contractors, is the focus of a survey being circulated to businesses across the Territory.

Executive Director of the Northern Australia Development Office Jason Schoolmeester said that the Department of Defence and the Centre for Defence Industry Capability are assessing defence industrial capabilities as part of an initiative to produce the Defence Industry Capability Plan.

“Their plan will guide Defence investment over the next ten years, so it’s really important that the Territory’s capability and capacity to play in that space is accurately captured – we don’t want to be under represented,” Mr Schoolmaster said.

“It’s important that we capture both the traditional Defence support industries and other tiers of the supply chain such as academia and research organisations, professional services, infrastructure, ICT and garrison support.”

“It’ll only take businesses around ten minutes to complete the survey and the information collected will be a huge help to the people putting together these future infrastructure plans.”

“KPMG have also put forward a $2,000 prize for one lucky Territory business that completes the survey.”

“The winning business will be drawn with the survey closes, and they’ll be able to choose what they use the $2,000 towards – could be a new computer, office equipment or professional development for staff”

Survey responses are requested during December however will be accepted until 31 January 2017.
