October Business Month wraps up

October Business Month has ended on a high note with social media influencer and entrepreneur, Jane Lu and Territory success story, Karen Hawkes.

The two women shared their advice and insights on social media and how the new medium has played a major role in their unique business journeys.

Karen shared her business success story about navigating the birth of a new business; digital agency Captovate and becoming a new mum at the same time.

While Jane spoke about quitting her corporate 'dream' job to pursue her business which at the time, was just an idea but is now a global fashion empire known as Showpo.

The closing keynote event also capped off OBM’s first ever Social Media Sprint. With more than 30 events dedicated to social media this year, there was something for everyone.

Territory businesses heard from global and local experts working in the social media space including: the importance of personal branding with LinkedIn, the ins and outs of Facebook advertising and getting creative with mobile phones with Facebook’s very own team. Local Territory businesses also held a workshop on the do’s and don’ts of social media content.

October Business Month would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and event partners.
