Bringing students to Darwin’s CBD

The Darwin Student Hub has officially opened its doors.

The Hub, located in the Smith Street Mall will bring more students into Darwin’s city centre and support local businesses.

International students are an integral part of the community. There are 2,700 international students studying in the NT and as an industry it contributes $81 million to the Territory’s economy.

International education and training is a growth sector in the Economic Development Framework and establishing the Darwin Student Hub is one of the key outcomes. The Hub is also an important part of the Northern Territory Government's plan to revitalise Darwin’s CBD.

The Darwin Student Hub is open to all Territory students as a central information space to access general information, activities and support. It is also a space for students to connect and interact with one another.

The Darwin Student Hub is a collaboration between the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation and Charles Darwin University. Training providers and university representatives will be on site to provide full support to students. The space will also be available for student groups to host activities and events.
