$10 million in community grants now open

Applications are now open for the Northern Territory Government’s $10 million Immediate Work Grants for community and not-for-profit groups, to create work and support local jobs.

Not-for-profit organisations can apply for up to 10 jobs completed to a maximum value of $100,000. The Northern Territory Government will also match any renovation costs that exceed $100,000 on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to a maximum of $200,000. All works must use local tradies and businesses.

Three public information forums about the Immediate Work Grants will be held across the Territory over the next month. These sessions will be held in Darwin on Thursday 15 December, Alice Springs on Tuesday 10 January and Katherine on Thursday 12 January. Dates for Nhulunbuy and Tennant Creek will be announced soon.

The Immediate Work Grants are part of the government’s recently announced $22 million Immediate Works Stimulus Package, which will support smaller infrastructure projects across the Territory.
