The program aims to further support local businesses and jobs in the construction industry.

Remote Housing Land Servicing Industry

In addition to the $1.1 billion Our Community. Our Future. Our Homes. program, $426 million is being invested in land servicing and headworks to increase the serviced lots and related infrastructure to support new houses.

Work includes subdivisions, headworks, and establishing electrical, water and sewerage infrastructure to create new residential housing lots.




Air Combat Facilities RAAF Base Tindal

New buildings, facilities and aprons to support Joint Strike Fighter at RAAF Base Tindal.

The works will include an F-35A Operational Precinct, warehouse and pavement upgrades, counter measure storage and preparation facilities, engineering infrastructure and replacement of displaced elements.

Air Traffic Control Towers - RAAF Base Darwin and Tindal

New Air Traffic control towers at RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal.

This project includes construction of two new air traffic control towers, accommodating a control cabin, external observation deck and a crew rest area, toilet, kitchenette and mechanical plant room.

RAAF Base Darwin

Works include a new sensor equipment building, construction of a new air traffic control tower and refurbishment and modifications to the airfield systems complex facilities. The new tower is a 50m high multi-level facility accommodating a control cabin, external observation deck and a crew rest area, toilet, kitchenette and plant room.

RAAF Base Tindal

Works include a new sensor equipment building on the northern side of the base and the construction of a new air traffic control tower and airfield systems complex to accommodate the phase 3 equipment.

The new tower is a 25m high multi-level facility accommodating a control cabin, external observation deck and a crew rest area, toilet, kitchenette and mechanical plant room.

Jervois Base Metal Mine

KGL’s Jervois Base Metal Project is located on the Jervois Pastoral Lease, approximately 270km east-northeast of Alice Springs along the Plenty Highway.

The project involves both open cut and underground mining of a number of orebodies with onsite processing of ore via a flotation plant to produce metal concentrates.

The project plans to produce a copper / gold / silver concentrate and a lead / zinc concentrate estimated at 150,000 tonnes of total concentrate per annum over an estimated 12 to 15 year production life.

Litchfield National Park Upgrades

Developing new visitor sites at three locations in Litchfield National Park, including roadworks will create jobs and support tourism.

Stage 1 upgrades include the construction of approximately 18km of unsealed road and tracks suitable for 4WD vehicles from Litchfield Park Road to the new swimming holes.

These upgrades will lead the way for stage 2 - construction of infrastructure at the site of the new swimming holes including campgrounds, walking and mountain bike trails, viewing platforms, picnic areas and car parking.

Tellus Holding - Chandler Salt Mine

The Chandler Salt Mine project includes a salt mine and waste storage facility in Central Australia.

The Chandler project is located in regional central Australia approximately 120km south of Alice Springs in the Simpson Desert and in the Amadeus Basin.

Chandler is Australia’s first proposed underground salt mine and deep geological waste repository in a 500-million-year-old halite (salt) bed.
