Sea Swift

Sea Swift is the regional pace setter in the marine transport industry, with almost 30 years' shipping experience across northern Australia. The company provides sea freight, project logistics, mothershipping and passenger cruise services across Far North Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Our fleet of purpose-designed vessels delivers vital supplies to remote island and coastal communities and resource development outposts, and our team of highly-experienced logistics and marine experts excel at getting the job done - safely and reliably.

Our equipment can also be deployed in support of major projects from east to west throughout northern Australia, Papua New Guinea, South East Asia and the Western Pacific.

One of the largest employers in the region with more than 350 staff across northern Australia, Sea Swift continues to grow, forging new markets and strengthening existing ones. The company makes a significant contribution to the employment and skill development of local communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Sea Swift also prides itself on its highly-successful and multi award-winning community engagement and cadetship programs, genuinely changing the lives of young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people across Far North Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Defence Force Recruitment

Charles Darwin University

In the spirit of our namesake, Charles Darwin, the naturalist, geologist and father of modern evolutionary theory, Charles Darwin University (CDU) places great emphasis on innovative study and research that will change the world and improve people’s lives.

Today we have over 22 000 students enrolled in Higher Education, Research and Vocational Education and Training (VET) spread across eight campuses and centres in the Northern Territory, as well as in Melbourne and Sydney.

As one of a handful of universities in the country that provides both Higher Education and VET courses, we offer alternative ways to access education, particularly for mature-aged and Indigenous students.

As well as gaining a qualification, CDU believes that every graduate should acquire universal skills, qualities and understanding regardless of their disciplines.

Department of Corporate and Information Services

The Department of Corporate and Information Services, through the Employment Programs Unit, coordinates a number of whole of government pre-employment and early careers programs, as well as providing support services to individual agencies who engage in these programs.

The programs are: NTPS Traineeship, Graduate Development, Vacation Employment, Indigenous Cadetships, and the Indigenous Employment Program.

These programs enable Northern Territory Government agencies to fulfil workforce development needs through ‘growing’ their own sustainable, innovative and responsive workforce.

These initiatives reaffirm the governments’ commitment in supporting the NT Employment Strategy 2013-2015 and the NTPS Indigenous Employment Career Development Strategy 2015-2020 by developing a skilled workforce to meet the current and future employment needs of the NT.

Territory Generation

Territory Generation is responsible for the production of electricity for supply to customers across the Northern Territory.

Territory Generation was formerly an operational business unit of the Power and Water Corporation. As part of reforms announced by the Northern Territory Government in December 2013, Territory Generation underwent structural separation from Power and Water, forming a separate Government Owned Corporation on 1 July 2014.

Territory Generation's vision is to be the trusted and respected employer, and electricity generation business of choice.
