Shortlisting and judging process

The shortlisting and judging process relies on the experience, professionalism and commitment of the Northern Territory Training Award (NTTA) judges.

There are over 30 judges involved in the shortlisting and judging process and a minimum of 3 judges are allocated to each category.

Every nomination is looked at by the judges and 3 to 4 nominees are selected to go through as finalists.

Finalists attend the ambassadors weekend, a 2 day program full of networking opportunities, coaching, and professional and personal development workshops. The weekend concludes with the finalists Interviews, which determine a runner-up and winner for each category.

For individual finalists, judges will be looking for how well you answered the nomination criteria, a clear passion for your studies, vocation education and training (VET) and your workplace, and your potential to be a future NT VET ambassador.

For business finalists, judges will be searching for those who submit a strong application answering all of the nomination criteria, have a strong commitment to training and their staff and those who are leaders in their chosen training field.

Judges often represent a range of different industries, backgrounds and experiences. If you are interested in becoming a judge, please contact the event coordinator.
