The 8th Indigenous Economic Development Forum will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 October 2017.
The forum will provide opportunities for people to come together from a diverse range of industry and backgrounds to promote services and programs; share knowledge and experiences; and explore opportunities, including economic and business partnerships; to achieve sustainable economic outcomes for Indigenous Territorians.
The forum is targeted at Indigenous and non-Indigenous stakeholders in economic development and those who have an impact on the emerging Indigenous economic landscape.
It is anticipated that the forum will attract up to 400 delegates, including:
- Indigenous organisation representatives
- small to medium enterprise owner / operators
- micro and home based business owner / operators
- private sector corporations and organisations
- industry association representatives
- shire and council representatives
- territory, state and Australian government key decision makers.

Support for local Indigenous business people
Indigenous residents of the Northern Territory who are in business may be eligible to receive sponsorship assistance to attend the 8th Indigenous Economic Development Forum or to participate in the Indigenous business expo.
