Chamber of Commerce NT's one day health and safety representative (HSR) refresher course is NT WorkSafe approved. The purpose of this course is to revitalise the knowledge and skills to enable you to continue promoting and ensuring the health and safety at work of members of your work group.
What the workshop will cover:
You will be provided updates and revision of work health and safety legislation (including regulations and codes of practice), role of the HSR, powers of the HSR, functions of the HSR, behaviours of the HSR.
Why your business needs to give your HSR the opportunity to attend the refresher:
Only elected HSRs who have completed the initial five day course are able to attend this training. Elected HSRs are entitled to attend a regulator approved one day refresher training course. Evidence of attending the initial five day HSR training program will need to be provided prior to attending this refresher course. Your employer will need to provide confirmation that you are currently the workplace health and safety representative for your workplace.
No formal assessments will be undertaken for this course. Participants attending this course will be issued a certificate of attendance.
